Silicone door heating cable is manufactured by precisely winding a resistance wire around a core of high strength, heat resistant material. This material has been carefully selected for its low stretch qualities. The wound element is then insulated with extruded silicone rubber. A metallic sheath is provided to give additional mechanical strength and provide ground path.
To ensure that these heating elements enjoy a long service life, we recommend using a control device.
Silicone door heating cable is available in predetermined lengths with cold tail – prefabricated & tested in a carefully controlled factory environment.
