Construction

Snow Melting Cable consists of a resistance element provided with primary high Temperature insulation, earth screen and Outer sheathing of Polyolefin.

Heating cables could be single conductor with apporx.  5.0 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at two ends of the cable or could be twin conductor with approx.  6.0 mm outer diameter and terminating on cold leads at one end of the cable / mat. SMC comes with a standard 5.0 m length cold leads.

It is available in predetermined lengths with cold tail – prefabricated &tested in a carefully controlled factory environment.
